A striking matched pair of mid-Victorian cast iron garden urns on stands, dating to the mid-19th century.

Each urn has a fluted bowl with an everted rim, raised on a tapering square-section pedestal. The stands are crisply cast with classical urn motifs and swag decoration, reflecting the quality of Victorian architectural ironwork.

The original painted surfaces show honest wear, flaking and surface corrosion, giving a strong, authentic patina. Both urns are structurally solid and very heavy, with excellent scale and presence. Increasingly difficult to find as a true matching Victorian pair.
